Dr. Ilker Apaydin graduated from Ankara University with a degree in Medicine in 1992. Furthering his studies, he stayed on at the Ankara University specializing as an Aesthetic Plastic & Reconstructive surgeon till 1998 to which he was then appointed as the senior Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the S.B Kartal Education and Research Hospital including the S.B Taksim Education and Research Hospital after that.

Dr. Ilker Apaydin first started performing FUT hair transplant operations in 1998 and later joined TransMed, which was the pioneering hair transplant clinic of the time, which to this day is still quite well known for being the facility to which the best and brightest and well known hair transplant surgeons in Istanbul emerged. Here he specialized in what was the newest method at the time, the FUE hair transplantation, which remains the most advanced method of hair transplantation.
With over 22 years of experience Dr. Ilker has helped over 8,000 patients from over 40 countries and has even completed the operations of many Turkish celebrities.

He is an active member of ISHRS since early 2000s and attends multiple meetings as a member and speaker, sharing and passing on what knowledge he can for the betterment of the industry.

Dr. Ilker personally does mega sessions with up to 4600 Grafts per sitting and uses micro motor ends of 0.6 to 1mm in diameter. He also has vast experience in manual extraction FUE and is also one of the only two doctors in Europe, who can combine both FUE and FUT method within the same procedure.
As he personally attends to extraction phase with his experienced team, he leaves the donor area with no scarring and harvests symmetrically and homogeneously.
