Dr. Serkan Aygin received his bachelor’s degree in medicine from the Istanbul university faculty of Medicine Capa in 1991. After his initial medical training, he pursued a master’s degree in clinical pharmacology and completed his dermatology Residency Training program at Vakif Gureba Hospital.

From there he worked as a specialist doctor in the outpatient clinic of dermatology and hair disorders and has been specializing in hair transplantations and hair loss treatments since 1996. Also being a member of the International Society of Dermatology.

With 22+ years in the field, Dr. Aygın work has always been focused on the concept of specialization and has closely followed all the developments, techniques and innovations in the field of hair transplantation. He is considered as one of the first surgeons to perform hair transplant procedures in Turkey and is one of the leading doctors’ whose contributions have had a major impact on a global scale.

Dr. Serkan Aygın specializes in both FUE, Sapphire and the DHI technique and incorporates the application of needle-free anaesthesia into his hair transplant procedures with the aim to provide maximum comfort and easability for his patients.

To date he regularly attends international conferences, meetings as well as symposiums and gives lectures on the recent developments in hair transplantation industry, sharing his experiences and knowledge with all invited even visiting patients when in foreign countries, to keep track of how they are going with their hair transplant results.

At the world recognized ‘21st Century European Awards in Medicine’, one of Europe’s most important organizations in the field of medicine on December 4th in Paris, the ‘European Award in Medicine’ in the field of ‘Hair Transplant Surgery’ was awarded to Dr. Serkan Aygın for his provision of hair transplantation services of high international quality standard within his work in Turkey.

Again, at the recent Tourism Awards 2019 organised by the VD Viajes supplement of the Spanish Newspaper La Razon, Dr. Serkan Aygın’s clinic was granted the award for Best Medical Tourism Facility.
